This exhibition is a presentation of the theory of Ar+chaeology as applied to the half-demolished Pabst Brewery in Newark, New Jersey. Over the past 15 months, as demolition crews systematically "destroyed" the site, teams of Ar+chaeologists scoured the ruins for artifacts in need of rescue. These artifacts were then cleaned, inventoried and prepared for a second life as contemporary artwork. Over 65 original works of art emerged from the rubble of the Pabst Brewery with several dozen more in the proverbial chamber. The exhibition would not have been possible without the hard work of interns (Gale Bautista, Nick Kizoulis, Erin Ross, Lauren Seiple and Farhana Suheet) or the generous environment provided by the New Jersey School of Architecture. The exhibition was further strengthened by the inclusion of artists from all disciplines, lending their own unique visions to the theory of Ar+chaeology. They are: Jaime Alvarez, Paula Santos Dias, Dave Lancet, Jerry Gant, Matthew Gosser, Katja and Johannes Gosser-Duncan, Jacqueline Lichstein, Ernst Shakura Walker and Noelle Lorraine Williams.
